• An Expat lives in Denmark. Most work or study here, and some bring spouses and children;
• An Expat is typically a highly qualified or skilled worker, who has been invited to Denmark by an international or Danish company to carry out a specific job or function, or has chosen Denmark for its many benefits. Also, many Expats are European citizens, moving within the European Union to work or study;
• Most Expats don’t stay for longer than 3-5 years. In fact, one of Denmark’s major challenges is to get highly qualified labour, and their families, to stay for longer!
